How to type in Gubbi
- Type your text in the Kannada typing editor by spelling words in English, e.g. “namaskara” becomes ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. Then press Copy.
- Install Gubbi (steps below) and open Word, LibreOffice, Photoshop or any app that uses your computer's fonts.
- Paste the text, select it and choose Gubbi from the font list.

- Windows
- Right-click the downloaded TrueType file and choose "Install", or "Install for all users" to share it with every account. Restart open apps to see Gubbi.
- Mac
- Double-click the file to open Font Book, then click "Install Font". Gubbi is then available in every app.
- Android
- Android has no built-in way to install fonts system-wide. Many design and video apps let you import a font file directly - add the downloaded file there.
- iPhone and iPad

What is Gubbi called in Word and other apps?
After installing it, look for "Gubbi" in the font menu of Word, LibreOffice, Photoshop or any other app that uses your computer's fonts.
