How to type in Kuvempu

  1. Type your text in the Kannada typing editor by spelling words in English, e.g. “namaskara” becomes ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. Then press Copy.
  2. Install Kuvempu (steps below) and open Word, LibreOffice, Photoshop or any app that uses your computer's fonts.
  3. Paste the text, select it and choose Kar Kuvempu from the font list.

Windows
Right-click the downloaded TrueType file and choose "Install", or "Install for all users" to share it with every account. Restart open apps to see Kar Kuvempu.
Mac
Double-click the file to open Font Book, then click "Install Font". Kar Kuvempu is then available in every app.
