How to type in Malige

  1. Type your text in the Kannada typing editor by spelling words in English, e.g. “namaskara” becomes ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. Then press Copy.
  2. Install Malige (steps below) and open Word, LibreOffice, Photoshop or any app that uses your computer's fonts.
  3. Paste the text, select it and choose Mallige from the font list.

Windows
Right-click the downloaded TrueType file and choose "Install", or "Install for all users" to share it with every account. Restart open apps to see Mallige.
Mac
Double-click the file to open Font Book, then click "Install Font". Mallige is then available in every app.
Android
Android has no built-in way to install fonts system-wide. Many design and video apps let you import a font file directly - add the downloaded file there.
iPhone and iPad
