Karma font: common questions
Is the Karma font free to use?
Yes. Karma is released under the SIL Open Font License, which lets you use it free of charge in personal and commercial work - documents, print, logos, websites and apps. The only thing you may not do is sell the font file on its own.
Is Karma a Unicode font?
Yes. Karma is a Unicode font: it covers 102 Hindi characters at their standard code points, so Hindi text typed anywhere - including our online editor - displays correctly in it.
What is Karma called in Word and other apps?
After installing it, look for "Karma Regular" in the font menu of Word, LibreOffice, Photoshop or any other app that uses your computer's fonts. Web apps such as Google Docs cannot see fonts installed on your computer. That is the name stored inside the font file, and it can differ slightly from the name on this page.
How do I install Karma?
Download the TrueType file from this page. On Windows, right-click it and choose "Install". On a Mac, double-click it and click "Install Font" in Font Book. Restart any app that was already open and Karma will appear in its font list.
